Sergeant Luciano Yulfo served under the flags of the US Army for nearly 36 years. Luciano, however, retired in 2014 following numerous injuries and has been waiting for more than 18 months to finally welcome a helping dog to help him.
This special day finally arrived last Wednesday, during a basketball game of the Knicks of New York, where Luciano was the guest of honor. The sergeant, without suspecting anything, first came to accept, under applause, a jersey flocked to his name.
Luciano did not expect a single second to see Murphy arrive, the dog of assistance that would now accompany him and that he had been waiting for so long. It was all thanks to the intervention of the Paws of War association, dedicated to the training of assistance dogs for the veterans, that this meeting was made possible.
Luciano, at first shocked, quickly let his joy burst forth. In a few days, Murphy and he have already established a strong and deep bond.
